Terms of Service
The rules for using Outstanding Tiny Desk, buying credits and sharing what you make.
Last updated Oct 26, 2026
About these terms
These terms apply when you use outstandingtinydesk.net ("the service"). By creating an account or making a video you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Contact: support@outstandingtinydesk.net.
What the service does
The service takes photos you upload and uses an AI video-editing model to place the people in them into a fixed, 19-second parody clip based on Charlie Wilson's Tiny Desk performance of "Outstanding". We are fans making a parody tool: Charlie Wilson, the Gap Band, NPR and its Tiny Desk series, the owners of the recording, and every team, league and platform mentioned here have no part in it and have not approved it.
Who can use it
Accounts are for adults: you need to be 18 or over and legally able to accept these terms.
Your photos and consent
Upload a photo only when it is yours to use and the person in it has agreed to be in the band. Never upload photos of:
- children or teenagers;
- public figures, celebrities, athletes, coaches or politicians, unless you are that person;
- anyone who has not agreed, or who has asked not to be included.
You are responsible for the photos you upload and for how you share the result. You keep whatever rights you have in your photos; you give us permission to store and process them to make your video and to display the video as you choose.
How you can use the videos
Videos are AI-generated parodies. When you share one:
- label it as AI-generated and as a parody;
- don't present it as real footage, or use it to deceive, harass, defame or impersonate anyone;
- don't use it to advertise or sell anything.
Each video includes a short excerpt of the original recording for personal, non-commercial sharing. We don't grant any license to the music or the original footage; the rights belong to their owners, and platforms may mute or remove content at their discretion.
Things you must not do
Don't use the service to create sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise harmful content, to break any law, to get around our limits (for example, by creating accounts to farm free credits), or to interfere with the service or other users.
Credits and payments
Each video uses credits from your balance. Credits come in one-time packs, have no cash value, can't be transferred and don't expire. Prices are shown before checkout and may change for future purchases. Payments are processed by our payment provider. Failed videos are refunded in credits automatically; other refunds follow our refund policy.
Your account and content
You can delete videos and your account at any time. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. If you believe a video on the service uses your likeness without your consent, write to us and we will review it and remove it where appropriate.
AI output and availability
AI results vary and won't always look exactly like the people in the photos. The service is provided as is. We work to keep it running but don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and processing times may vary.
Liability
As far as the law permits, we aren’t responsible for indirect or knock-on losses, and if something goes wrong our liability is capped at what you spent on credits during the previous year. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
